Race 1, June 27 - 325 miles
Start: 22nd | Finish: 11th
Points: 26 | Standings: 30th
Race 1 Details of the Day
Today was the first race of a doubleheader weekend at Pocono Raceway. It is the first time that the NASCAR Cup Series has run a race on two days back-to-back at the same track
The starting line-up for tomorrow’s race will be determined by inverting the top-20 finishers and then the rest of the field will start in finishing order 21-40 from today’s race. With their finishes, Busch will start tomorrow’s race in third and Kenseth will start 10th
Matt Kenseth was the highest finishing Team Chevy driver today
The start of today’s race was delayed for about an hour due to rain
The caution flag was shown eight times for a total of 28 laps
The lead changed 13 times among nine drivers
Chad Johnston, Crew Chief, No. 42 Credit One Bank Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 1LE
“Glad to have had a productive race today for the Credit One Bank team. Our team has been putting in a lot of work over the last several weeks, but we unfortunately haven’t had the results to show. We were able to use some strategy to gain track position early in the race. Thankfully were able to maintain position around the top-10 for most of the day. The handling went away a little toward the end, but Matt did a good job to hang on for the 11th-place finish. I think we learned a lot today that we’ll be able to use as we prepare to race here again tomorrow. Today was the closest thing we’ve had to a practice, so it was good learning day for us.”

Race 2, June 28 - 350 miles
Start: 10th | Finish: 12th
Points: 25 | Standings: 30th
Race 2 Details of the Day
Today was the second race of a doubleheader weekend at Pocono Raceway, the first-time the NASCAR Cup Series has run a doubleheader on back-to-back days at the same track
The start of today’s race was delayed for 30 minutes because of lightning, then delayed for about an hour at lap six because of rain
The Pocono 350 was the final event of three races that were run at Pocono Raceway today, preceded by the NASCAR Xfinity Series and NASCAR Truck Series races
Kenseth raced much of the afternoon in the top 15, as he and crew chief Chad Johnston's strategy payed out for a 12th-place finish
The caution flag was shown eight times for a total of 32 laps
The lead changed 12 times among eight drivers
Chad Johnston, Crew Chief, No. 42 Credit One Bank Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 1LE
“We obviously would’ve liked to have come away from both races at Pocono with better finishes, but all-in-all the results this weekend are something that we can build on. Following yesterday’s race, we were able to make some positive changes to the Credit One Bank Chevy, that helped for today’s race. We fought some other handling issues throughout the day that we didn’t have yesterday. Fortunately, our strategy worked-out again today, even with just a few cautions, we came away with a decent finish. We’ve had some tough races prior to this weekend and I think we need to look at Pocono overall as a positive.”
