Post A Few New Things
Until we get the money together for the "bigboy" cars. We did have a chance to grab a few things for the collection.

Short story on the iLevel 1/64
Several months ago, a fellow boardie and i went to war over 1 of them on ebay. Niether one of us came away the winner though. The car went for over $100!!! So when i saw these, we contacted him and figured we would team up on them. Turns out we didn't need to, i placed 1 bid and won the damn things! The die-cast market is soooo strange sometimes. So now 1 is for us, and 1 will go to him. Thanks for sharing!! Amy

p.s. and we got the sealed model at goodwill for $5!!!! ;)

I was the fellow boardie that went to war with Amy over that car, and I now owe her a major favor :)

Looks like you guys do what I used to do....buy every Kenseth related thing you can get your hands on. LOL. Toothbrushes, coffee cans, singing hampsters, bobbleheads. I used to buy it all. Funny thing started to happen; I didn't have room for all of it.

Now I pretty much only buy 1/24 scale cars and a few odd things, now and again, if I think they're actually unique. I ended up giving away a bunch of older 1/64 scale cars, along with a bunch of bobble heads and other little trinkets.

Eventually, I will unload the rest of the stuff I don't really need. When you have so much "crap" that you can't display your higher end stuff, because you don't have enough storage for the boxes, it's time to cut the collection back.

I mean, seriously, does anyone really need 3 life-size cardboard standees?

Scott drew the line at the standees ;) , but i will always find space for other things. Scott does the 1/24 car displays, i do the rest. it has seemed to work out so far, but i do agree, room would become an issue. we will be empty nesters in a few years, then the collection gets its OWN space.

LOL!! I got the puzzle at Goodwill too!

My dad and I have R&L Carriers hats that are identical to yours. We got them at Eagle Raceway (12 miles away from Lincoln here in Nebraska) when I was head to toe Kenseth because Matt was supposed to be there along with Clint Boywer, Ken Schrader, and Sterling Marlin. We got them from a gentelman who drove for R&L. He said, "I wish I would've known you were coming! I have so much Kenseth stuff!"

That was also the same day that I bought my program for the race and won the Matt autograph pass, but the event got rained out! I still get angry when I think of the rain interfering with the day I was gonna meet THE MAN!!!

Hopefully I can make it up to Wisconsin next summer to finally meet Matt!!

P.S. I happen to love all my odds and ends Matt stuff. It makes my collection "unique."

I love them too. That's how I ended up with so much that if I tried to display it all, it would probably cover the whole apartment. What is worse is if you have to move. I've moved the stuff twice. What a treat that was. LOL

We should capitalize on the "Hoarders" TV show craze and make our own called "Nascar Hoarders"..... "Jim, why do you have 6 different slot car sets still in their boxes mounted on your wall?" Hell Doc, that's easy..they all a Matt Kenseth car on the box and I don't have to paint my walls anytime soon!!

Amy, Made it home today to find a package of mk goodies waiting for me. Thanks so much, I will make sure that positive feedback is left. I now only have one 1/64 to find to complete the collection so far but finding a 2004 hot wheels dewalt pit cruiser larry wood promotion 1/64 is going to be tough as it has already eluded me for the past 6 years lol. Have a great weekend. Brian

I do have a pic of one somewhere but its probably buried away in some boxes marked 2004 as I just bought a house a couple months ago and had to pack everything up. As for odds and ends in Matt Kenseth collectibles, one of my fav non-diecast items is my 3 foot tall bobble head doll. There were only 100 made and I think it would be cool to try to organize a reunion of all 100 of them. Imagine having 100 3-ft tall Matt Kenseth bobble heads in the same room LOL I'll try to get pics of mine posted. Brian
