Matt Kenseth had an awesome
racecar at Chicago, leading the most laps on the day. However the
day turned sour about five laps from the end when the #24, running
in second, hit Kenseth in the corner, spinning him into the grass.
Kenseth rejoined the field in about 8th position, but then as they
were riding around under caution ran out of gas and had to pit.
Adding insult to injury, he was wrecked crossing the finish line
under the checkered flag, ruining on of the best cars in the #17
stable. Kenseth finished 21st.
