Blickensderfer named new crew chief for 17 team
Roush Fenway’s
Drew Blickensderfer, who guided Matt Kenseth to one Nationwide
series victory in 2008 before moving over to a very successful stint
with Carl Edwards’ #60 Nationwide team, has been named crew
chief for the #17 DeWALT Sprint Cup series team beginning with
the 2009 season. Chip Bolin, who spent 2008 atop the #17 pit
box, will return to his engineering position with the DeWALT
team. As previously announced, former #17 team spotter Mike
Calinoff will return to that post beginning in 2009.

extends Roush Fenway contract
Roush Fenway Racing announced today that it has re-signed 2003
Sprint Cup Champion Matt Kenseth to a multi-year contract.
Kenseth has been with Roush Fenway since 1998 and has claimed 16
Sprint Cup Series wins and 24 Nationwide Series wins in addition
to Roush Fenway’s first Sprint Cup championship.
